Koussevitzky’s inimitable Birkas Hachodesh
Cantor Moshe Koussevitzky’s Shabbat services were known far and wide and attracted packed crowds at Synagogue Beth El in Boro Park. The highlight of those service was the Birkas Hachodesh prayer recited on the Shabbos preceding the new Jewish month.
