Lemmer’s Mix of Kwartin and Oysher

At a recent benefit for RCCS (Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society), Shulem Lemmer performed alongside the Shira Choir to deliver an acapella rendition of L’Duvid Mizmor, a cantorial piece which is a mash-up of recordings by Cantor Moishe Oysher and Zevulun Kwartin.

In this performance, Shulem and the Shira Choir attempt to capture the emotional overtones and depth of this chapter. Shulem juxtaposes the musical styling of Moishe Oysher with the somber, deeply affecting tones of Zevulun Kwartin, creating a unique, unearthly sound.
