Ofir Sobol Debuts at Emotional Concert

This week thousands attended an emotionally laden concert where Maestro Ofir Sobol debuted as his father successor for the first concert since Dr Mordechai Sobol’s passing in September.
Three months ago, the cantorial world was rocked by the sudden passing of Dr Mordechai Sobol a modern day cantorial father figure and legend.
It seemed that his passing left his cantorial organization without a leader who would continue carrying out the organization’s mission.
This week, an emotional crowd gathered in Tel Aviv as Sobol’s son, Ofir, conducted his first concert in place of his father giving hope to thousands of cantorial fans that Dr Sobol’s legacy will carry on for many years to come.
